The Martis Camp Foundation strengthens the Truckee–North Tahoe community by investing in nonprofit organizations working to improve lives across the region. Through Community Grants, Martis Camp Members support programs, services, and projects that address critical needs and create lasting opportunity.

Since 2011, the Foundation has invested millions of dollars in organizations making a meaningful difference in areas such as education, family support, health and human services, environmental stewardship and community vitality. In 2026, more than 50 local organizations received more than $1.5 million in MCF community grants.

Every grant represents the generosity of Martis Camp Members and their shared commitment to a thriving community.

WHAT WE FUND

MCF Community Grants support a wide range of nonprofit efforts that strengthen the Truckee–North Tahoe region, including:

• Educational programs that promote learning and intellectual development, and that make education more accessible and effective for all students.
• Environmental projects protecting and restoring our mountain environment.
• Human services to our neighbors in need that help people lead safe, healthy, and productive lives.
• Recreational opportunities that improve the number and quality of recreational options in the area.
• Youth development opportunities that enable young people to develop to their full potential.

The Martis Camp Foundation partners with nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference throughout the Truckee–North Tahoe region.

Regional Community Grant Cycle

In 2026, the Foundation is joining the 2026 Regional Community Grant Cycle with the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, Martis Fund, and Tahoe Donner Giving Fund. This shared process simplifies applications for nonprofits and improves regional coordination of funding.

Nonprofits seeking Program/Project Grants, Mission-Driven Grants, or Capacity Building Grants can apply through a single Common Application used by all participating funders.

Martis Camp Foundation Capital Grants

Organizations seeking funding for capital projects, including new construction, facility renovations or expansions, land acquisition, and other long-term infrastructure investments, should complete the Martis Camp Foundation's separate Capital Grant Application.

 Final Reporting

As outlined in the grant agreement, all Martis Camp Foundation grantees are required to submit a final report describing the outcomes and impact of their grant-funded project.

Final reports for nonprofit organizations awarded funding through the 2025 Community Grant Cycle are due no later than September 1, 2026. Reports may be submitted by completing the MCF Final Report Form linked below or by emailing a report to the Martis Camp Foundation.
