2023 Nonprofit of the Year
The Martis Camp Foundation was named 2023 Nonprofit of the Year by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce! MCF Executive Director Wendy Damonte, MCF Board Members and Martis Camp Ambassadors were in attendance at the awards presentation (pictured above), celebrating the win with fellow Chamber members and nominees from the community. This award from the Truckee Chamber of Commerce is a result of the positive impact made by the MCF in our greater community through the generous donations of Martis Camp Members. Your Donations at Work
Donations to the Martis Camp Foundation go back into the Truckee/North Tahoe community in three ways: Community Grants, College Scholarships and Ambassador Scholarships. Community grants are given to nonprofit organizations working in the region. College scholarships are awarded to deserving local graduates in need who aspire to attend college. Ambassador scholarships are awarded to eligible Martis Camp employees and their children to assist with continuing education, tutoring and tuition assistance. Read on for more details!

Community Grants

2023 was a record year! We donated more than $1 million dollars to 53 nonprofit partners in the Truckee/North Tahoe region. This is the largest amount ever given by the MCF in its 14 years of supporting the local community. The needs of our community continue to grow and the MCF is proud to be able to match that need. Our goal is to continue supporting our partners to the best of our ability and to increase our revenue so we can tackle some of the larger problems facing our region. Below is a list of our community partners who do incredible work to make Truckee/North Tahoe a safe, healthy and fun place to call home!

The MCF is exceptionally proud to help the Truckee Tahoe Pickleball Club cross the fundraising finish line for its community pickleball complex. Our $300,000 grant will allow construction to begin on the complex which will have 16 courts, plus a stadium court for professional tournaments. It will be functional – and exceptional. The courts will be open to the public, for players of all ages and abilities.

In 2010, the Martis Camp Foundation (MCF) was created as a 501(c)3 public charity to support the Truckee/North Tahoe community. Initially funded by Martis Camp developers and annual Club events, the MCF is now funded and run by Members of Martis Camp.

The majority of the money we award as community grants and scholarships comes from our MCF dinner and auction held annually during the summer. In 2023, this event raised more than $1 million. This year’s event is Saturday, July 20th at the Family Barn.

In addition to attending the auction (Members and their guests), we have several ways to easily donate to the MCF:

Email the MCF at

Write a check to the Martis Camp Foundation and mail to:
MCF c/o Martis Camp Club, 7951 Fleur Du Lac, Truckee, CA 96161

Contributions can also be made through a donor advised fund (or charitable gift fund).

Martis Camp Community Foundation’s EIN is 27-3532704. All donations to the MCF (a 501(c)3 charitable organization) are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
